Barbarossa-ruïne (aka St Martin’s Chapel)

St Martin’s Chapel is a ruin you can see if you visit Valkhof Park in Nijmegen. It was built in 1155.

Once a place of worship, these days the chapel is often used as a music podium. There’s a lot of festival activity in Valkhof Park so the the ruin gets used a lot.

This text is explains what the photo shows. It’s not a blog post. It’s a media attachment page. The blog makes one for every picture I upload to the site.

I uploaded this picture of St Martin’s Chapel to include in a blog post I wrote about spending a few hours exploring Nijmegen on a rainy day in June 2016 — A Rainy Day in Nijmegen
