Today, I saw something I’ve never seen before. I heard hail hitting the window of my room and when I went to take a look I saw there was rain mixed in with the hail. I grew up in the Yorkshire Dales and, before I decided to travel, I spent most of my life in the North East of England. I’ve seen plenty of rain and a lot of hail, but I honestly can’t remember seeing a mixture of the two. It seems strange that I should experience this for the first time in Portugal because I always used to think the climate here was a lot better than it is in the UK. I’m presently in the north of the country though. Things are probably very different in the Algarve.
